As a Valentine's gift for me, my husband commissioned Patrick to do a pencil drawing from a 3x3 fifty year old photo which showed my grandfather holding me when I was 3yrs old.  My grandfather did not like to have his picture taken, so I only have three photos of him.  He died when I was 12 & it was one of the saddest days of my life as my "pop" was my sun, moon & stars.  When I saw the picture that Patrick had done it brought tears to my eyes as it conveyed the feelings of this grandpa for his little granddaughter.  Patrick is extremely talented & is able to convey emotions with his artistry.

I find Pat Gehrman's work to be incredibly lifelike,  so perfect a likeness, you are not quite sure what medium he has used, like a photograph only to be surprised that it is an oil, or a pencil, or airbrush.  He is the most talented artist I've ever met...absolutely beautiful!!
